For those of you who had thoroughly enjoyed the last reunion in 2006 and wanted an encore performance, and especially for those who didn’t have a chance to attend, here is the good news.
We are in the process of planning another one, in celebration of our turning 50’s and 50’s plus, for some. This big birthday bash will be a two days event, August 11 and 12, and will take place in the beautiful and quaint Sea Colony Resort in Delaware, USA.
This resort was chosen for its location and for the many amenities it had to offer. Sea Colony, a beach and tennis resort situated in Bethany Beach, is about 2.5 hrs away from Washington D.C and Baltimore , MD. Spectacular golf courses are also in close vicinity. Not too far from Bethany Beach is the hustling and bustling Ocean City with many options for dining as well as recreational activities, and its famous boardwalk. Rehoboth, a beautiful town nearby offers quaint boutiques shopping as well as tax-free outlet shopping. Other outdoor activities are also plentiful for your enjoyment, from the simple pleasure of ocean swimming - yes, the water is quite warm in August - to camping on the beach in nearby Assategue, to the thrill of deep sea fishing.

With such diverse options that will guarantee a wonderful vacation for various age groups, we hope that you all will join us with your family for an extended stay, in order to take advantage of the many amenities this area provides.
In terms of accommodations, we strongly suggest that you plan and reserve ahead of time, preferably by January, as August is peak demand at resort as such. Options of lodging range from houses in Sea Colony where families can share occupation, to its oceanfront condos, to hotels in Bethany Beach and Ocean City .
At this point, planned activities for the two days will start with a welcoming cocktail party on Saturday evening. Sunday morning and afternoon will be devoted to tennis tournaments and golf outings, shopping excursions, water related sports such as deep sea fishing, or simply relaxing at the beach. The event will culminate with the Big Birthday Bash with dinner at a restaurant nearby, then an all out dancing soiree back at Sea Colony until the wee hour. The cost of the tickets of this event is anticipated to be in the range between $55 to $75.
As you can imagine, such an event require lots of planning ahead. For that reason, we ask that you would be kind enough to let us know, as soon as possible, and no later than December 31, 2006, your intention of being a participant. We will do our best in providing you with answers that hopefully, will facilitate your planning for this fun filled trip.

Dear friends,
As of today, we have had 56 people sign up to participate to the August Birthday Bash. Many more have expressed interest in coming but are unable to commit at this point, mostly due to their children’s schedules.
We are experiencing some unforeseeable difficulties with the lodging reservation at the Sea Colony and are asking you to hold off in making any reservations at the moment. We’re currently looking at alternatives and will share our findings with you by the end of next week.
